Synopsis
Alongside Cezanne, Poussin is perhaps the greatest french painter . The most Italian of French artists, his rigorous classical style is matched by a strong lyrical sense. This film, hosted by Pierre Rosenberg, curator of the great recent Poussin exhibition, shows the preparation for that exhibition while explaining the importance and relevance of the pictures selected.
