JULIUS CAESAR: living treasures
1 x 26 '
Synopsis
In September 2007, a team of archaeologists working in Arles in southern France made an astounding discovery underneath the Rhone.
Buried in the riverbed for more than 2000 years, the team unearthed a collection of magnificent bronze and sculpted artifacts. Among them, one immediately stood out: a bust of Julius Caesar,
founder of the city in 46 B.C., carved in white marble. The easily recognizable image is certain to be the first portrait made of Caesar alive – and the most important new archaeological discovery of the
past 50 years!
This truly exceptional 26’ documentary by éclectic relates an amazing story that has only just begun to be told. More treasures from the life of Rome’s greatest emperor await…
Two more versions will be available at the beginning of 2009 (1x52' & 1x90')
