Synopsis
Jean is working on a deceased writer's biography during World War II. While searching in the Na¬tional Archives he finds out a denunciation letter which led to the deportation of a Jewish furriers' family, Franyois Fechner's family, Franyois being his best friend.
Under stress of revolt, he finds out the name of the woman who wrote this letter.
In the furs shop Franyois tells him it is the name of an old customer. She owns a small flowers shop just across the small square.
Jean has only one thought in mind: revenge. He will upset the weak balance of the Fechner family and ruin his own household. Falling into the trap of appearances he will imperceptibly become this old woman's tormentor ....
Until the drama.
Prostrated, he will understand too late that the florist was also a victim of the war.
