Synopsis

We introduce you to three gangsters. From an early age, they were involved in violence and crime. Although they don't have blood on their hands, all three paid a very high price for their chosen lifestyle. We will try to understand why these two men, Roger Knobelspiess and Didier Chamizo, and this woman, Noëlle Besse, chose to embark upon a life of crime when they were so young. How did they decide to cross the line and go underground? And why, dozens of years later, did they retrace their steps to walk the straight and narrow? How did they achieve this? How were they treated? How do they see their decisions all these years later? And what about the society which judged them?
These three people tell us about the key moments in their lives. They go back in detail over their past. Childhood was decisive to the three main players in this documentary. For all of them, it was the period when their revolt took root. They struggled in a world which was too small for them, and rage was their only means of survival. By the end of their teenage years, all three were ready to take the plunge into major crime.
