Synopsis
Throughout the 90's, Franck Avitabile established himself as one of the most promising
young pianists in Europe. In 1996, he recorded and independently released his first
CD, "Lumieres" in tribute to Bud Powell. That same year he won the prestigious Vanves
Piano Jazz competition, which was judged by the legendary pianist Martial Solal. This
documentary presents the carrier of Franck Avitabile pianist born in Lyon. He got famous
notably thanks to his collaboration with Michel Petrucciani.
