DANIEL HARDING - HONEYMOON
1 x 26 '
Synopsis
At present Daniel Harding is without a doubt one of the most promising conductors of his generation.
Already conducting by the time he was 13, three years later he became assistant conductor to Sir Simon Rattle in Birmingham before moving on to work with Claudio Abbado and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
He first came to public notice in Paris in 1995 when, standing in for Rattle at the last moment, he conducted the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in a concert at the Théâtre du Châtelet. In 1998 Daniel Harding conducted a new production of a Peter Brook version of Don Giovanni at the Festival of Aix-en-Provence when the Théâtre de l'Archevêché was re-opened (alternating with Claudio Abbado).
Already musical director of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, in 2006 he became principal conductor for the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and first invited conductor by the London Symphony Orchestra in 2007.
