WILD CHILD SECTION;THE
1 x 52 '
Synopsis
"The Wild Child Section" is how in France they have nicknamed the class of eleven-year-olds in the Adapted General and Professional Teaching Section (SEPGA) where we spent a year filming.
Ismaël, Jonathan, Aurélie, Akim and ten other children are in this "last chance" section in the city of La Corneuve, a suburb north of Paris.
This film is an account of an exceptional initiatory and teaching experiment conducted by two unusual characters, who have used the theatre to open up unsuspected horizons for these "lost" children.
It is an attempt to give them the chance to find themselves by trying to find out what goes on in the hearts and minds of these young people in search of an identity and recognition, by disrupting their habits, by leading them to modify their behaviour and by exposing them to others' eyes, in short by doing them a kind of violence.
