Synopsis

Kevin-Mohammed Ziani, a 17-year-old high-school student, lives in the Ménilmontant area of Paris. He is solitary and secretive and has only one friend Léo, the caretaker of a cemetery, in whom he sometimes confides. The teenager cannot communicate with his parents, Abdel and Saïda, second-generation immigrants who are determined to fit in. He discovers Islam through the blazing eyes of Mériem, a classmate. The young man is fascinated by this Muslim girl who seems both brilliant and happy and he is gradually won over by a dangerous group of Salafist fundamentalists who lead him astray.
