Synopsis

Located within the walls of Paris' Palais de Justice, around the corner from the Prefecture de Police, the legendary 36 Quai des Orfèvres houses the Criminal Brigade, the Drug Squad and the Paris Brigade for Search and Intervention.

This documentary follows these three police departments in their investigations: the "X Woman" affair, an unknown woman found murdered; drug trafficking between France and Spain; a swindle-provoked murder, etc. Interrogations, stake-outs, u-turns, meetings with the Prefect: such is the daily lot of the police.

It took the film crew several months of investigation to show the reality of these men and women who fight crime day and night.
