Synopsis

A solar eclipse is more impressive because day turns to night.
On Wednesday March 29, 2006 the North African sun has set in the middle of the day. We've been there to view, film and describe this spectacle, a mix of anxiety, impatience, curiosity and science.

From the North African coast, we drove the 1500kms of roads and dirt tracks crossing Tunisia then Libya, following the Mediterranean and its Roman archaeological sites. We met the peoples of the desert, before arriving at our observation post in the middle of the Sahara on the dawn of March 29.

?Black Sun? is a human and scientific adventure, a story about the knowledge of our planet and solar system, the discovery of unknown regions and an expedition crossing some of the most beautiful desert in the world, in addition to the magic of a unique happening.
