Synopsis

Always in search of scientific explanations, and yet there are phenomena that can't be explained. We West Europeans can't come to terms with this. Take for instance that somewhat shy Karunawathi Kumarashinghe, a woman from a small village in Sri Lanka. For West Europeans, there are things about her that defy explanation, but for Sri Lankans, she is simply a holy woman, for them, the explanation is simple, that old woman is in constant dialogue with gods and goddesses with whom she communicates in a language only she understands. She can communicate with people across continents, personal contact is completely unnecessary.
