FLAVOURS FROM ACROSS THE SEA: MARTINIQUE
1 x 52 '
Synopsis
This documentary aims to provide seafood recipes but also to discover the men and women who give us the chance to taste these flavours. The sea is at the centre of the story, the sea as a kitchen garden, a journey, a seascape, a world heritage. We will follow the fishermen and their boats which are specially adapted to the geography of the seabed, then the arrival of the fish at the market early in the morning where we can see how they are prepared and how the local spices are added. And lastly, we will see the locals cooking these dishes for their dinner. The film lets us discover the history of the eating of fish, seafood and shellfish in this distant land.
