Synopsis
In June 2006, the Museum of the Quai Branly in Paris has opened its doors.
By bringing together heritage from the world over, this ambitious museographic and scientific project is a major cultural event on an international scale.
There will be nearly 300,000 works from Asia, Oceania, Africa and the Americas in its collections. Through them, the public will find stories, journeys and cultures to be shared.
For the dozens of mobilised teams, the magnitude and diversity of the project also represent a formidable human adventure.
By choosing works representing the wealth of the collections, this documentary relates the major stages in the birth of this unique museum.
