Synopsis
A young knight, Arnaud d'Aubrac, must depart for the Holy Land. On his way, he meets Fiorella and her husband, a rich merchant. The whole company has been stopped at a bridge by Ludwig, an adventurous young German. Arnaud challenges him to a duel which marks the beginning of a deep friendship. Ludwig decides to go to the Holy Land with Arnaud.
