Synopsis
Silas Marner earns his life as a weaver in a small village of France. Eppie, a 6 year old girl loves Silas as the father she never had. Yet her story is quite simple : led by his brother, the baron Godefroy meets and seduces Melanie. As a result of this encounter, Eppie is born. Six years later, Godefroy is so tormented by his sin that he secretly marries Melanie, but refuses to introduce her to his family.
