Synopsis

1935, two young women, Maya and Maud live in the same building in Paris. Maya, Jewish, has left Tunisia to settle in Paris with her husband Aido a journalist politically committed to the Left. Maud has a lover, Marcel, member of the far right. Everything should separate the 2 young women but strangely each one feels somehow responsible for the other. The war breaks out and Aldo leaves. Maud understands that if she wants to protect Maya and her baby she will have to keep at a distance from Marcel...
