Synopsis
12000 feet Mount Erebus in Antartica is one of only two volcanoes in the world with a larva lake in its crater. In 1994, Jean-Louis Etienne mounted an expedition to the volcanoes setting off from Tasmania in Etienne's specially adapted yacht, the team weathered the storms of Austral Ocean and fought their way through the ice cap to reach the continent. They then climbed the 12000 feet high volcano to set up experiments inside the volcano enduring extreme weather conditions as well as the altitude.
