Synopsis

Robert Requefort, nicknamed Bébert, is a down-and-out living a peaceful existence under the arches of one of Paris's bridges. His happiness is shattered by the chaos and the explosions provoked by the student revolt of May 1968.
Lucien Chambier, a sensitive and kind-hearted cop, is knocked almost unconscious by the demonstrators and takes refuge in Bébert's rickety home. The friendship that develops between the two men will help Lucien rediscover the virtues of true freedom.
