FRANCESCO SALVIATI, LA BELLA MANERA
1 x 52 '
Synopsis
The film shows the life and work of Francesco Salviati (1510-1563) in the context of the political and religious crisis of the time. It shows the splendors of the royal courts in 16th century Italy.
The great figures of the period, who were also patrons of art, appear in works from Florence to Rome in both religious and non religious works. Salviati's art illustrates well what Mannerism brought to the Renaissance - complexity, paradox, invention and refinement. Salviati's humanist thinking is present in all his very varied work.
