Synopsis

This serial of 7x52-minute instalments is based on the life of Thomas WAGHORN, an English midshipman who can be considered as the " inventor " in 1829 of the link between Europe and Asia forty years before the opening of the Suez Canal.
Ferdinand de Lesseps was to say of him. " He served as an example for me " and he had Waghorn's bust mounted at Port-Tewfik, at the canal entrance on the Red Sea.
