Synopsis

Over the past decades the ethnic and cultural diversity of London - in common with many other great cities throughout the world - has grown enormously. Traditional minorities such as the Irish and European Jewish communities have been supplemented by newer immigrants - from the Caribbean, South and East Asia, Cyprus, Africa.This two part film takes a searching look at the new musical diversity of London (and by implication of other cities too) by following the activities of various groups and individuals.
