Synopsis

The Belgian dancer and choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker has achieved a series of highly acclaimed dance pieces and numerous awards since her creative d‚but in 1980. A key moment in her career came with the formation of the dance company Rosas. "Achterland" (Hinterland), with music by two leading contemporary composers, the Belgian EugŠne Ysaye and the Hungarian Gy”rgy Ligeti, has been seen in Montreal (where it opened the 1991 Festival of New Dance) and New York. It was filmed in studio in Brussels in b/w 35mm.
