Synopsis

Dominique Bagouet, arguably the greatest of recent French choreographers, died in December 1992 aged 41. From his base in Montpellier, in southern France, Bagouet's reputation for inventiveness and innovation spread during the 1980s to America, Japan and throughout Europe. These recordings of two of his most celebrated dance pieces are both a memorial to Bagouet and one of the few television opportunities to see the dancers of the Compagnie Bagouet in performance.
