Towards the end of 2008 France will see the arrival of HD on TNT for its major television channels. 2009 will most certainly be devoted to the consecration of this new technology. With that in mind Europe Images has decided to remaster two classics of the French cinema for high definition, i.e. Tenue de Soirée and Le Hussard sur le Toit for their next airing on ARTE.
After another transfer of photochemical elements to the HD CAM SR platform, these two movies required over 50 hours of colorimetric calibration and image restoration in order to render an image quality never before equaled. And now they are all set once again to face the future and Blu-Ray.
